Something interesting

So while sitting next to Riley's bedside a few minutes ago...I heard what I thought to be him passing gas. I looked at his nurse and asked if he should be able to do that lol. She of course laughed and said yes. Turns out Riley was testing out his new stoma and and "pooped" out some green goo. Resident was called to inspect and all stood around gazing at it. Kind of comical but also just called for a stat xray just to make sure all looks ok in his belly with this new development.
They are currently collecting blood (ouch) for another blood culture just to make sure there isn't a bacteria growing that they aren't treating and trying to brainstorm on all possible causes for his platelets to be so low still. Hoping they find a reason that is easy to treat and no more surgery.

Praying no new bacteria is growing. That little stinker...he is a fighter, isn't he? He's an amazing little Riley. Give him a Hug and a Squeeze from me. God Bless, Pauline

I love the picture! Riley looks so happy in your arms! I have sent out more prayer requests and we are still praying here, too.

Hoping and praying for some good reports from Riley's cultures. As always we are praying that he can keep fighting like he has proven he can do. He looked so content resting in your arms, what a special treat that was!! Hugs to you both!!!
Love and God's Blessings, Dale
