Dec 5: Cheating!

Dec 4: Snowflakes

Our elf on the shelf, Pistachio, brought a little bit of the North Pole to us last night! We found paper snowflakes sitting about this morning, and Riley decided they needed to be hung on our door. You can see our swing set lit up outside through the door also.

Dec 22

Christmas is almost here! And that means it was time to make some Christmas goodies. Jay helped Debbie and Gary move into their new house today, so the boys and I spent the day cooking. Well, Riley and I did, Travis had to go be a big boy and hunt this afternoon. More on that below.

This morning, Travis, Riley and I made some chex mix. (Which I may have nibbled on all.day.long afterwards).


Later, after Travis had left with Granddaddy, Riley and I worked on Butterballs (which I may have also nibbled on all.day.long)

While Riley and I were making a mess with the Kitchenaid, Travis was working to stock the freezer. Sitting for hours in the cold paid off today, as he killed a doe. Granddaddy was extremely proud of him, as Travis made a "perfect" shot. A heart shot that dropped her where she stood. That was good news, because then they didn't have to go looking for her!

Dec 18

Today was Riley's Christmas party at school. They called it their Happy Birthday Jesus party.

The kids were dressed like Angels and performed 5 songs for us! They were so cute. Afterwards, they ate all sorts of goodies like pizza and chicken nuggets!







He also came home with all sorts of CUTE artwork and ornaments he had made! I love preschool!!

Dec 17

Today was a Cobie lovin' kind of day.

This dog LOVES that boy. She loves us all, but wow does she love Rileybear. She is always with him, which aggravates him a lot, but he loves her too!


My goal was to get pictures of just the boys, but someone wouldn't stay away. Notice the guilty look on her face.


Riley wouldn't sit still so it was a challenge trying to get anything half way decent.


Travis wanted a picture like this. Riley hopped right into it.

Riley has improved today over yesterday, but still isn't back to normal. Hopefully tomorrow will see him back to his normal, crazy self.

I feel bad that I am not posting as many "good"  pictures as I usually do. But getting my big camera and getting in a good position to take pictures is difficult in my current foot situation. But my cell phone pretty much lives on me so I am usually able to snap a quick picture here and there. So now that you know that... Here are a few I snapped today.
Jay had to work most of the day today (graduation at UNCW).  So the boys and I braved crowds and my being on a scooter to do a little bit of shopping this morning.  Riley has been having serious tummy troubles today,  and this picture was taken before his issues really hit,  but he wasn't  feeling well. He had fallen asleep in the car and wanted me to carry him. So we compromised and I made room on my scooter for him to sit.
Later at home,  things declined and we spent most of the afternoon snuggling and watching Christmas movies on abc family.  Cobie tried to lend some comfort.
He ended up asking to go to bed tonight. Hopefully he will feel much better in the morning!

Dec 14

They sleep,  safe and sound.

December Daily time again! Day 1

I really haven't posted since September? Yikes! I will have to do a massive catch up post (in pictures of course) in a day or two.

Jay and Travis have gone to sleep on the Yorktown again. This morning, to pay Riley back for waking me up super bright and early, I made him put on a tie and let me take pictures of him.  :)
