If you don't like pictures....look away from the blog

Wow what a busy weekend! Where to begin?

how about with Travis. He went to a birthday party just before the weekend, after school one day. It was at a paintball place, but they were going to use water guns instead. That is, until someone found paintballs and began throwing them! He got a little bit dirty you could say!
New waterguns he got at the party

Paint on shirt

Paint/dirt/whatever else little boys get into, all over the pants!

He had a blast! (and, would you believe it all washed clean?!)

Saturday, Jay went and got some rocks to landscape our yard. Only to get home and realize he needed sand for another project. So...I had to unload 2 tons of rocks from our trailer, so he could speed away with the trailer to go get sand!! THEN, I put the 2 tons of rock out in the yard, bordering our flower beds in the front yard (must get more for the backyard). To say I was tired and sore by the end of the day would be the understatement of the year. However, we did get to spend a few hours at the beach that afternoon with Riley's former nurse Rachael (now just our good friend Rachael I guess we could say!). It was a beautiful afternoon to be at the beach.
I love how Travis and Riley are in the same exact pose in this picture, working on their separate projects

Travis works on burying himself

"can someone come cover me up?"

Can you figure out what this is?

How about now?

Riley thought it was great fun to walk all over Travis!

Next on the list...time to put up the pool! We marked it out with flags last weekend. This is what Jay needed sand for, to put underneath it.

He worked ALL.DAY.LONG. removing grass, and leveling the ground. And then even more, spreading out the sand. He had lots of willing "helpers" for that part of the job

Riley tries to heist some sand

He was SO covered in sand, that I can't even describe it!

Still digging

It was a real family affair, everyone pitched in!

Oh and it was hot. so so hot out.

Yay! Time to add water

as the water began to flow, we all got our bathing suits on (well, except Riley) and we got in the pool. The boys ran around, and Jay and I pushed the liner smooth. Who knew a half inch of water could feel so refreshing.

Then we took a break, and ate some watermelon that was ice cold

Then back in the pool! (for Travis at least)

Today, was wrapping up odds and ends, and shopping for pool supplies and groceries, then hanging out with the Pope's.

Shew! I think I need to go back to work so I can get some rest!! :o)
