Riley's tummy is measuring a LITTLE bit smaller today than it was yesterday and the redness on his belly has decreased some.
He hasn't required any morphine and the surgeon said that he doesn't believe there is any surgical risks right now. He said the morning xray showed a good bowel gas pattern.
Now, if we can get that swelling to go down a little more, they will pull out that tube and let him eat.

Thank you God, for small miracles. I am so glad to hear that Riley's swelling is going down, and that he isn't in a lot of pain. It is also good to hear that he has a good bowel gas pattern, that is really a relief. Hoping and praying things continue to improve, and that Riley will soon get his tube out so he can eat. Thanks for the update Lindsey. Continue to stay positive, Riley is a tough and sweet baby boy!

I am so happy to hear that Riley has accomplished some small improvements today. I am hoping for that belly to keep going down and for him to be getting his feeds before long. Take care, Debbie
At least it's an improvement. Hoping tomorrow brings more good news! The girls made blankets in the Girl Scouts for babies in the NICU, of course Brit and Sami kept theirs to send to Riley, I was going to try and spruce them up but I think they are cute because they were made with so much love. They ask me everyday how you all are doing. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers..
