Still infected
After getting some final culture results today and watching his beach ball belly turn more and more red, they have changed up his antibiotics yet again. And now we watch and wait. The docs and nurses are trying to convince me that its ok to go home today as planned. There is just no win here. Stay, and upset Travis who desperatly wants me to come home, or go and not be able to see Rileys condition with my own eyes. ugh

Oh Lindsey, I know you must be terribly torn as to what decision to make...stay with baby Riley or go home and be with Travis. Do not feel guilty with whatever decision you make. Know that I am here and if I can help you in anyway to make it easier for Travis...please let me know. I pray the antibiotics will clear up Riley's infection...sweet baby Riley...keep up the good fight. Love, Pauline

Lindsey, So sorry to hear Riley's infection is causing him so much discomfort. Hoping the new antibiotics will be aggressive and fight and help him heal. You do have a tough decision to make..stay or go home. Go with what your heart tells you to do. If you stay, I'm sure Travis will understand, he is such a great kid, and a terrific big brother to Riley. May God help you to make the decision that is right for you!

Is no news good news? Hope Riley had a better night. Please tell Travis we are proud that he's such a good big brother. I'm sure it's been just as hard on him not having mommy all the time. Hope you don't feel guilty no matter what you decided to do. Hugs and kisses to everyone...
