Treasure Hunting Travis update #3

Yesterday the great treasure hunters had a lot of success. Travis has almost a whole gallon sized ziploc baggie full of jewels including: amythyst, emeralds, garnet and ruby's, smoky quartz, some volcanic glass and i forget what else they said. Also has 2 indian arrowheads and 2 pieces of petrified wood. He was on cloud nine. Although he also made sure to tell me he had a bunch of cool rocks too. Mom said he was sooooo excited when they started finding the gems that he was just crazy...in a good way.

In other news....I've recieved a few questions all in the past few days from some of you that overlap so let me see if I can answer them for ya:

Q: How are you feeling?
A: I'm feeling ok. It's hot and that zaps a lot of energy, so I have been taking it easy on the weekends and not doing as much outside stuff as I normally do but I'm managing. When Travis wants me outside with him, I just put a chair in a shady spot and stay out as long as I can stand it at a time.

Q: Are you showing yet?
A: Oh boy am I ever. Enough so that I've already gotten the "are you having twins" comments from a few. Gotta love it.

Q: Do you have a name picked yet?
A: Hmmmm, I'm pretty sure he finally has a name...but we may keep that to ourselves for now. Since we know the gender this time, we want at least one surprise to hold on to. That could change though depending on my ability to keep my mouth shut! Travis is getting tired of waiting for a name. He started suggesting names to me this past weekend...first it was Jason (we don't want a Jr.), then it was Jack (uh uh) and then in desperation "well how about just little guy". That was my favorite. A word for you all....it is NOT Jerome. Calling the baby Jerome in the beginning was Jay's sick way of tormenting me and since we didn't have a name, it stuck as a nickname to call the baby in the meantime. But this child will NOT be named Jerome. :o)

Q: How far along are you now?
A: Look over there ----------------------------------> to the right. See that ticker thing? That'll keep you updated to the day how long he's been baking so far. But I'm 24 weeks right now. That's one of those magic numbers in pregnancy. Not that one would ever want their child to be born this early, IF something happened and they were, 24 weeks at least gives a baby a fighting chance.

Q: how's your blood pressure been?
A: my blood pressure has been a pain in my butt for a while. I still take it every evening....and none of the readings have been great. BUT so far I am showing no other troubling signs such as swelling or protein in urine. I have been trying to watch the sodium content of what I eat though. Of course some days I do better with that than others. ;o)

Q: Is the baby active?
A: YES. very much so. This pregnancy and Travis' are SO completely different and babies activity level is no exception. While Travis moved enough to not make me worry....he wasn't nearly the wiggler/kicker/hiccuper that this one is. I'm hoping that is because this one is staying on the small side and has more room to move. LOL But seriously, he's very very active and moves sometimes for well over an hour at a time non stop. and this is several times a day too. So far he isn't waking me up at night though (other than smooshing my bladder making me have to pee).

Ok. I think that should catch everyone up. Oh. and the room still looks the same. I have been busy around the house in the evenings with Travis being gone, but none of it has been in the baby's room. But i've gotten a lot done either way so I'm pleased.
