Pictures from Travis' trip!

Mom, Dad and Travis got back home around 7:30 last night. We met them and pretty much scooped Travis out of their vehicle into our vehicle and off we went to the soccer game. Hey. It was fireworks night. That meant we could get out of braving the masses downtown tonight for fireworks. He talked our ears off all the way there about various things.

Today, the 3 of us went to mom and dads to retrieve Travis' stuff and swim and check out all the goodies they found. Here are pictures from their trip!

The rock he had to hop out the window to get.

View from their hotel window

Place they went to the first day. This is where they washed the dirt off the stones to see what they found.

A rock Travis dug out of the dirt and cleaned spotlessly to bring home.

While Granddaddy slaved away at the bottom of this hill, digging buckets of dirt to sift through, Travis searched for a different kind of treasure. Rocks.

Boys and their rocks, does it ever end? :o)

Travis and Mema

Travis and Granddaddy (he made them lock up his visor in the safe every night).

The place they were Day 2

Snacktime!

Go ahead. Laugh. I did and still am at this one!

Seems they could have found a softer place for a nap!

Overhead shot of their loot, sorted by type for the most part.

Amythysts

Petrified wood

Crystals

Ummm yellow quartz or citrine. I forget which.

Emeralds!

Rose quartz

Stuff in it's native state. Garnets and ruby's and sapphires. I think I had picked most of the emeralds out of here by the time I took this picture.

Fools gold (Pyrite???). Travis really liked this stuff

There were sapphires, ruby, garnets, smoky quartz, an opal (we think) and other ones' too. Jay and I were shocked over what all there was.

Oh. One last thing. I spoke too soon about the swelling. My feet swelled up yesterday some and were huge this morning when I got up. Boo on that.
