No matter where I go

There are always reminders of our ordeal with Riley. This is in the training center that I am at this week, doing some training for work. If you can't read the writing on the jug, it is to collect the pop tabs from soda cans for the Ronald McDonald house of Chapel Hill. Not the same one we stay at, but same purpose. Just the mere sight brings tears to my eyes.

Riley had his 6 Month old appointment today. It was not the best news. He weighs 12lbs4oz which is only about the 2nd percentile. He is 25.5 inches long which is a little more than the 10th percentile and his noggin is about the 25th percentile (dont remember that measurement). So...our pediatrician is absolutely adamant that Riley has GOT to have more calories. He is getting enough to grow SOME but not enough to fatten up at ALL. So I called DUKE to find out what we can start doing immediately. The pediatrician is insistent on upping the calories of his formula, which we agree with, we just don't know the "formula" to do so. She wants us to continue with the solids as well. We go to DUKE next week but none of us want to wait that long to try something. So I am waiting to hear back on that.

Hi Lindsey, I'm praying that Duke will come up with a high calorie formula for baby Riley to start on immediately. I sure have been enjoying my every minute with Travis and Riley this week...giving them both lots of Hugs! And cuddling with baby Riley bunches! Love, Pauline
