4 months old!

Oh how good it felt to recognize Riley being 4 months old and NOT be in the hospital!! Yesterday, Jay worked with a friend and Travis, Riley and I hung out around the house for a while. Travis picked out Riley's outfit and was SO proud of it:

Notice the camo (really tie dyed) shirt and camo sneakers.

This afternoon, Travis and Jay went on a canoe adventure down the creek in our neighborhood and Mr Riley and I went to town to just shop around a bit and get out of the house. He hates to sit in his carseat in stores so I put him in the snugli facing outward. He grins at every person who walks past it seems.

I wanted to share a picture with our readers. Everyone tells me what a miracle baby Riley is. And although we share that sentiment completely, I wanted to show you 2 other miracles as well.

THis is baby Carter which we mention a lot, and baby Mercy (in the middle). All 3 of our babies are about 2 weeks apart in age. All 3 were born full term. And all though our stories are all different, sharing some similarities here and there, all 3 of these babies share a common bond of having to fight for their lives. Both Carter and Mercy were discharged to home on Friday, and we were so glad to get to see them on our visit up to Duke.

Riley, You are such a little cutie. Travis, Mama really likes the outfit you picked out for baby Riley, especially the camo sneakers. Thank you God for all the little miracle babies. Love and Blessings, Pauline

Lindsey, How right you are, that all of these precious babies are miracles, and they all fought their own battles, and thank God, they all got to go HOME!!! Wonderful news for both Carter and Mercy's families.
Riley, (as usual) looks adorable in his jeans and camo shirt and sneakers. Good job Travis! By his smile, I think Riley was pretty pleased also!
Hugs to all, Dale

Happy Birthday Riley! I love the outfit your brother picked out for you. You are lucky to have such a great big brother. I can't wait to see you outside of the hospital. Maybe we can go boating together this summer.
Take care,
Carter Myers
