Just a little recap...

First of all THANK YOU EVERYONE for all your support and prayers. Without those, I firmly believe we would be faced with a much different outcome. But instead, Riley was discharged today, about 11:30am, and has been checking out his new environment ever since. It was a good day, he's been great and Travis is SO excited he's home. Right now, as I am waiting for my video below to upload, Riley is lying here on the couch beside me, licking his fingers and watching the ceiling fan. Travis is snug as a bug in his bed down the hall. I've never felt so blessed before in all my life.

Hope you enjoy the little look back at the past 3.5 months in the video below:

I'm sure you can hardly believe it - after 3.5 months...his first time home. I know you thought this day would never come - and how close it came at times to never happening.

I am SO happy for you. Enjoy your wonderful family and having both your boys right where they belong.

Unbelievable, yet very true!!! I cried through the whole thing, with tears of sadness, and happiness. It is just the most beautiful thing to see your family together, at HOME, where you all belong. Riley's room is so adorable, and I'm sure he will enjoy the quiet and serenity of it.

May God enrich your beautiful family with blessings and continued happiness!!!

WELCOME HOME RILEY JAY!!!

Love and Hugs,
Dale

Wow, what a powerful video! I've never met your family yet I'm sitting here sobbing. The photos of you walking out of the hospital are what I've prayed for. Welcome home, little Riley.

Holy cow. I did a pretty good job holding it together until the end of that video. We hope to be totally stealing this idea from you guys soon with pics of Carter being carried out the front entrance of Duke. We're dying for a reunion with Riley!

What a wonderful tribute to Riley's fight. The Connor fish bedding you have is what we almost bought for Carter, but we settled on a different one with fish!
