Riley is very sick again
His morning bloodwork for lack of a better term sucks. He will be getting blood AND platelets this morning. His blood culture came back positive as well. Hoping they can go ahead and pull out that infected PICC line. At least that will get teh source of the infection out of him. There is a slight chance that his having sepsis will cause the new broviac to become infected but we have no choice but to proceed with that procedure. He'll be getting an IV shortly for the blood. He must really think life sucks. It's nothing but one big painful event.

So sorry to hear about Riley's latest setback. Praying that his infection responds quickly to antibiotics and that he gets back on track for his successful recovery. It's been proven that he is a fighter and I'm sure he will continue to fight against his obstacles just as his parents continue to do! Stay strong!
