Not a good morning

Well. Every good day has to have a bad one to balance it out. This morning, we came in to see Riley at 745am. Found him with a heartrate over 200 and feeling hot. I took his temperture and it was 102!!! Notify nurse who gets the doctor, and all hell breaks loose. Blood and urine cultures were quickly taken and antibiotics started. His temp ended up going up to 105 before we could get tylenol in him. THey also did strep and flu swaps. We are hoping this does not mess up his getting his broviac tomorrow, as if it does, he may have to go back to Duke a lot sooner just for that reason. The surgeon will be here tomorrow. If Riley can't get his broviac tomorrow, then he kind of lost his chance here. Bummer.
