I'm not going to go into the details of Riley's weekend tonight. I'm tired and cranky and really just don't feel like it. I'll update tomorrow on the vomiting and stuff. Just know for now that we ARE concerned about it.
Here are some pictures from the weekend:
shaved head from last weeks PICC line attempt
Big boy holding up his own head
He loves his Mommy
Riley's room
Did I mention he's over 8 pounds now? In just a weeks time he went from 6lbs 15oz to 8lbs10oz. Looks like it's all in his cheeks.
worlds worst haircut
trying to see what his brother is doing
IV in head today
blood going in
how's that for comfy?
looking a little more pink after the blood transfusion

I'm sorry you all had such a rough weekend. We will be praying for a better day tomorrow. You can see that Riley is growing--especially those cheeks, but he still looks so tiny in the bath tub picture! I hope things are going well with you being back at work. Stay strong and know that there are so many people praying for you guys.
Riley is just so cute. Travis is also adorable. I love his big smile. He looks like such a great big brother.
The head iv is scary looking, I know. At one point, Natalie had an IV in each foot/leg, one arm and her head - at the same time. The head one is the worst though. It's just not something you see done to adults so it's pretty bizarre looking.
I hope the vomiting is better. Are they considering reflux? For preemies, it's the first suggestion for everything - for a reason.
I'm also so glad for you that you are back in Wilmington. Your posts seem less stressed. Do you actually have your own room for Riley? That's wonderful.
We keep hoping for Riely's quick and uneventful recovery. He looks so healthy; it must be so frustrating to not be able to take him home.
Hang in there:-) Joheen
I'm so sorry Lindsey that baby Riley is having the vomiting again and needed the head IV. You all continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. Blessings, Love, Pauline
Ugh. If there is one thing I wish someone had told me when my twins were going thru all this, was that it would be a complete rollercoaster ride, so never get too settled in when things are going well. The extreme swings in wellness as well as emotions were terrifyingly stressful, and they just kept coming. So hang in there on your rollercoaster, and please remain calm until the ride comes to a complete stop -- or at least slows down a bit.
You have every right to be cranky Lindsey, after the weekend you had to deal with.Just when things were looking so good with his feedings, you get knocked down again. You can tell by the pictures that Riley has gained some weight, and strength. He was sure holding his head up looking at his Mommy! He is such a sweet baby, and it is so sad that he has to endure all of the needle sticks. I continue to pray for Riley's fight, and that you and Jay can remain strong through this journey. Hoping today will bring you some much needed good news. May God send his blessings to baby Riley, you, Jay and big "handsome" brother Travis. Give chubby cheeks a big hug!!!
Love to all, Dale
Lindsey, I am so sorry to hear that you are having difficult times again with Riley. I know it's frustrating, but continue to be the wonderful mommy you are to that sweet Riley. All of you are in our prayers, Love, Debbie and Gary
