GI study is completed

It actually was done a while ago, but I've been super busy at work today if you can imagine that. Probably a really good thing.

The surgeon hasn't come around yet, so I only have the pediatric radiologists report to go by, and she of course isn't the one doing the surgery.

There are 4 separate areas in his colon that wouldn't expand, meaning they have scar tissue. I don't know if that means they will for sure have to come out or not. I just know they are scarred. The "big" one is about 2cms long. the other 3 are smaller than that.

His small intestine has a complete blockage in it. She's not sure how large an area the blockage covers nor what the intestine beyond the blockage looks like. so that will definetly be a segment that is removed.

She said that she WAS able to see the majority of his small bowel adn that the MAJORITY of it is good. We just have to wait and see what the surgeon says in regards to teh parts that are not good in terms of removing it, possible ostomies after this surgery and nutrition absorption.

Lindsey, As you said, we just have to wait and see. For now, prayers are going to be said multiple times daily for baby Riley. And, prayers for you and Jay to stay strong and know that we are thinking of you both. We pray for a full and complete recovery in the coming days for Riley. God Bless You All, Love you, Pauline

Lindsey, we pray that all will go as according to God's plans for Riley on his upcoming surgery. Please continue to love him as much as I know you all do and he is going to continue to fight as the strong little boy he is. We love you all and you are in our thoughts. Love, Debbie and Gary
