They didn't attempt to insert a new PICC line today. Pretty much, the doc and NNP thinks that it will just be torture for Riley to attempt it. Much better veins blew when they tried and the one last one they were giong to attempt were not nearly as good looking as the one's they previously tried. So....we called it quits on PICC lines. Unless some new vein miraculously appears pretty much overnight that looks super promising, he will be having a Broviac inserted on Friday at 1pm. I have such mixed feelings about it, but he's got to have his IV nutrition, and that is the only way at this point.
His xray from last night looked good and he began getting his tiny little slurp of milk again today. He loved every drop of it too. I could tell this morning his belly was feeling better because he was making his "i'm hungry" face. Seriously.
I think I may have forgotten to mention yesterday, but they have ordered Play Therapy for him now, just to give him some more stimulation and try and help keep him on par developmentally. Right now, he's doing well for his age and we want to keep it that way.

Baby Riley, I love you so much...thinking of you and praying for you. Enjoy your play therapy! Hugs to you, Pauline
So glad to hear Riley's x-ray looked good, and that he was able to get his milk again. I'm sure he is going to enjoy his play therapy, and the extra attention he will be getting from the therapists. They are going to instantly fall in love with your little cutie. Hope Riley continues to have more good days!!
Love and Hugs,
Dale XOXOXO
I'll volunteer to do play therapy! Sounds like a good job..hope things get better soon.
Lindsey, we're thinking so much about all of you and especially Riley. Keeping you in our prayers daily. I know Riley will overcome this next procedure, as God has him in his healing arms. Love, Debbie and Gary
