Riley is in pain
Overnight Riley became much more ucomfortable. They are pumping him full of higher doses of moephine. His belly is even larger today as well. His neonatologist and the surgery team have come to an agreement that if he is the same or worse come tomorrow,they will operate tomorrow. This is obviously worrisome. Sitting here watching him wince and silently cry in pain is heartbreaking.

We are all so very concerned about you and Riley. Please take good care of yourself because Riley, Travis and Jay are going to need you healthy when Riley is all better and can go home. I wish there was something I could do to take the pain away from Riley even for a short while so he can get the rest he needs to keep up his strength to continue his fight. He is amazing! and seems to be quite the little "tough guy". With our love, hope and prayers. Beth & all of the CE Dept.

Hi Lindsey! I found your profile on facebook and we actually went to high school together. I'm Melissa Wheeler. I found your blog and have spent some time catching up with what has been going on in your life. Please know that I will be praying for Riley and you and your husband, also Travis. I'm so sorry that you guys are having to go through this. I must say as a mother I can only imagine the pain you are feeling. You are in my thoughts and prayers! Take care of yourself too, I know what those c-sections are like!

My eyes are filled with tears just thinking of the pain this poor baby is going through, and wishing they could do something sooner to stop the suffering. I will be praying extra hard that Riley is able to get some rest, so he is strong for the surgery. He's a fighter, but this just breaks my heart for all of you.

Oh poor Riley! I pray it gets better soon and he gets some relief from all the pain. My heart is breaking for you. I know you must be feeling every bit of his pain. Take care of yourselves and stay strong!

Riley, keep fighting! You're such a sweet boy and have so many prayers that are coming your way. Lindsey and Jay, I am so sorry that you both are having this difficult time right now.
