On a more positive note, Travis comes up tomorrow and we can hardly wait.
Here are some pictures from yesterday and today. You can see how bloated his stomach is in them.
Notice the preemie hat on his hand? That's because he was causing mischief and constantly pulling on his vent tube. I later brought in little scratch mitts as he could wiggle his hand out of the hat and then promptly pull on the tube again. Stinker.
Mitt on his hand and booties on the feet. Nothing better than baby booties.
Sweet feet and monkey toes
That is an IV taped down on the top of his head, not some sort of bow. But the reason for the picture is the little gauze roll in his hand. This was another attempt by the nurses to keep his hand occupied and not pulling on the vent. Now they put the gauze roll IN his hand and then cover the hand with a scratch mitt.
What do you do when you work with sick babies and their environment is stressing them out due to noise? you put earphones on them!!
So that is all for tonight. We are just waiting for the morning to find out about surgery.

YOu don't know me. I heard about your sweet baby Riley through one of your freinds and have been keeping up with your blog. I am praying for your family and for Riley as you go through all of this. Remember that you are not alone and that not one tear, one thought, nor one fear goes unnoticed or overlooked when it comes to God. He has your precious baby in the palm of His hand. I will continue to pray for peace and healing, bc after all it is prayer that will make all the difference right now. Remember that "faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1 Have faith and know with God all things are possible.

Lindsey and Jay, Thinking about you this morning as the doctors and surgeons make their decisions about how to proceed with baby Riley's care. Words cannot describe how I feel inside as I look at these unbelievable pictures of what all he is having to go through. God is Good. God Bless You. Peace. Love, Pauline
I am so sorry you had such a bad day. Know that there will be bad days, but also good ones, too. I know how hard it is to be at the hospital, so anytime you feel you need to get out, just let us know. You are welcome to come here anytime. Stay strong and know that there are tons of people praying for you guys.
So what tunes was he jamming to?
