Yesterday, his platelets went from 28 then a transfusion to 26 then another transfusion to 13!!! Then another transfusion. The last transfusion was sometime late last night/early this morning. His stomach was red and angry looking around his drain site. He did show his stoma was working but all in all,it wasn't the best of days.
Today...his stomach measured a little smaller (not a lot), his platelets were 59 at 4pm and that was with no transfusion today, he had two poops and had his morphine decreased. A surgeon came by and manipulated his drain (ouch) and got a lot more "stuff" to come out (better out than in) and his belly looks MUCH less angry today. He has been more alert and interactive today also.
So all told,it was another day of small victories. But,like I said,I am almost afraid to even say it was a good day outloud in fear that tomorrow will go downhill again. But I figure that you all should hear how your prayers are making a difference.

Riley looked so content in your arms. It is amazing the connection a mother and baby have. Do not be afraid to yell out the victories that Riley has. You have to focus on the positives.
