Since about hundred people have asked.....

I thought I'd tell you.

  • another boy may not mean lots of pink and ribbons and bows. but it DOES mean: getting pee'd on at diaper changes again(this was always hilarious to us), OVERALLS!!!, trucks and trains, sticky oooey goooey kisses and dirty fingers, DIRT....lots and lots of dirt, bug hunting, rock collecting, lots of flowers picked for mommy, lots of fishing, lots of little boy moments (you know where they discover that some things on them grow and HEY! did you know there is a hole down here?! gotta love it) and lots of mommy being treated like the princess of the house.
The list goes on but you get the general idea. I am perfectly ok with having another boy. So STOP asking me! LOL
We have ordered the bedding and it should be on my porch when I get home today. That means picking paint. And hanging a ceiling fan. Which means that the room has to be cleaned out. This may not seem like a big deal to those of you who have never had the unfortunate experience of laying eyes on this room. But it's a MESS. For the room to be cleaned out, that means Jay has to put a ton of stuff in our attic that really should have been up there a long time ago like suitcases and sleeping bags. then I have to sort through the toys and whatnot that Travis has outgrown that have been tossed in there. There is some baby stuff in there also. Extra furniture, craft stuff, you name it, there is some of it in there i do believe. Then let the task of sorting through boxes of Travis' baby stuff begin! The list just seems never ending at this moment.
And just to share a little boy moment with you....Travis serenaded me with THIS little ditty from the Chipmunk movie the other day:
Dave likes to wear
Dirty Underwear
With little tiny hairs
Yeah. that's what he sang. and laughed uncontrollably afterwards. Only a boy!!
He also has rode the bus EVERY morning since we got our driveway paved. He LOVES it. This morning, he was SOO tired (stayed up too late eating clams he and Jay dug) and when I went to get him up this morning, he said he was soooo tired. I told him he could sleep in and I would take him to school but if he wanted to ride the bus he had to get up and POP out of the bed he went.
Oh and he went to school the day after the ultrasound and got up in front of his class and told him that WE had an ultrasound the day before and found out that he was going to have a little brother. He said they asked him all sorts of questions and he was able to answer them all. He is now impatient to know the baby's name. So are we buddy so are we. We have NO boy name whatsoever in mind. Hopefully that will change between now and October.
