I cheated on the past few days...its been a busy weekend, and getting pictures was tough, so I doubled up.

Dec 11: shootin

This picture is from Thanksgiving. But since I've been a terrible blogger lately, I figured it doesn't matter. Its still a previously unshared pic, right?

Travis shooting the .38 special. He loved it! We shot up our pumpkins. They took it pretty well until Travis brought out his 243. Then, they blew apart!

Dec 8: red noses

This morning, the boys woke up to find that Pistachio had painted their noses red, like Rudolph during the night!

Dec 7: Basketball season

Today was Travis' first basketball game of the season. This season, we chose to play with Topsail Basketball, instead of Upward. That means he is now playing full-court basketball. I did not get a picture of him before we left the house, as he didn't have his basketball shoes on then (cannot wear them, except on the court), so I thought I would get a picture when we got there. Wrong! He was not on board with that plan. It's tough being a cool sixth grader, image to uphold and whatnot. So, I snuck a picture with my phone during the game.

You can't tell in this picture, but he is wearing Breast Cancer awareness Nike Elite socks in honor of Riley's nurse Brigit who is fighting breast cancer.

Travis is #5, in the yellow.

Dec 6: Christmas Tree pics

We did a little room switcheroo earlier in the year, and now our Christmas tree is in a different room than it usually is in. It's nice, that it has plenty of room where it is now. But I do miss the reflection of the lights on the hardwood floors.

Dec 4: Snowflakes

Our elf on the shelf, Pistachio, brought a little bit of the North Pole to us last night! We found paper snowflakes sitting about this morning, and Riley decided they needed to be hung on our door. You can see our swing set lit up outside through the door also.

Dec 3: Preschool art

Dec 2: Kennedy Space Center

The day before our race, the packet pickup was held at Kennedy Space Center. We got to browse around a bit while we were there.

Dec 1: Went for a little run

I am beginning my December posts a few days late because I was traveling on the 1st and just been too tired this past week!

On December 1st, I ran the Space Coast Half Marathon (13.1 miles), in Cocoa Beach, FL with Jay P. This was my 2nd half marathon, and while I was much better trained for it, it was harder than my first. I didn't feel well the day before (congestion, sore throat) and still had those issues before the race. It was humid also, which usually makes my asthma flare a little, and that coupled with the congestion made for a miserable run for me. We finished and got our awesome medals though! It's all about the bling. And because I like to eat. A lot. :)

My friend Allison who lives in Florida,ran the Space Coast Marathon (26.2 miles) at the same time!
